Fabric Care

At Onyu, we believe in providing you with the highest quality clothing that not only looks great but also lasts long. Taking proper care of your garments is essential to maintain their appearance and extend their lifespan. To help you with that, we have put together this fabric care guide to ensure that your clothes stay in excellent condition for years to come.

General Tips:

  • Always refer to the care label attached to the garment for specific instructions. Each item may have unique care requirements.
  • Sort your laundry into whites, lights, and darks to prevent color bleeding during washing. Where relevant, also sort your clothes based on fabric types, such as delicate fabrics, knits and sturdier fabrics such as denim to avoid damage during washing.
  • Treat stains promptly to increase the chances of successful removal. Follow stain removal guidelines based on the type of stain and fabric.

Washing

Wash your garments in accordance with the care label instructions. Choose between warm and cold water, as indicated. For delicate items, use a gentle or delicate cycle to minimize agitation and prevent damage. Wash similar colors together to prevent color transfer. Use a gentle, bleach-free liquid detergent specifically formulated for clothing.

If the care label indicates "Dry Clean Only," follow the instructions and take your item to a reputable dry cleaner.

Drying

Line dry your clothes whenever possible. Hang them on a clothesline or drying rack, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent color fading. If using a dryer, select a low or medium heat setting. Remove the clothes from the dryer while slightly damp to minimize wrinkles and allow for easier ironing.

Ironing

Refer to the care label for ironing instructions. Some fabrics require low heat or steam settings. To protect the fabric's surface, iron delicate or printed garments inside out. Before ironing, test a small hidden area of the garment to ensure the heat level is appropriate.

Remember, proper care is the key to preserving the quality and longevity of your clothing. By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your garments continue to look their best.
